Frogtoon Music - Song Info: Leitmotiv | Glasnost

This Song Is Divided In 2 Almost Balanced Parts. The Double Title Reflects The Double Nature Of The Track. The First Part Comes Directly From The First "Flares" Sessions February 2002 But Has Been Recorded Only In May 2005 And The Second One Has Been Written And Recorded In The Spring Of 2006. "Leitmotiv" Means In German But It Is A Word Used In Other Languages As Well "guiding Theme" And "Glasnost" Means In Russian "transparency" Which Was Together With "Perestrojka" Reorganization The Essence Of The New Gorba--Ëv's Politics In Soviet Union During The Second Half Of The '80ies. In The Whole Song We Wanted To Express The Feeling Of A "fixed Idea" That Obsesses This Idea Could Be Everything And Everyone Is Free To Feel What He/she Prefers. The Main Mood Of The Whole Composition Reminds Us To A Night Of End Summer When You Feel The Melancholy Of Something Which Is Passing By And Will Never Come Back Again… Anyway The 2 Parts Express Also Different Moods The First One Is Pure Romanticism Sweet Indulgence To A Girl's Now Far Memory Heady Melancholy And Yearning. The Other One Is More Haunting Somehow Even Claustrophobic Like Of A Once For A Minute Free Mind Thrown Again In The Real World's Meaningless Chaos Trying To Find Out Some Kind Of Light. This Description Has Been Provided Directly By Port-Royal.
